Jennifer Check, played by Megan Fox in Jennifer’s Body (2009), is a useful reference precisely because her clothes do not simply announce “horror”. In NYLON’s interview, costume designer Katia Stano explains the contrast between Jennifer’s increasingly girlish clothing and the film’s darker events. Pink, small-scale decorative details and cropped layers are more useful starting points than generic gothic accessories.
That does not mean you need a short hem or an exposed midriff. Keep the colour and proportion relationships, then choose coverage for your own day.
Let the neckline be the focal point. Pair a pale pink top with unembellished blue jeans and simple shoes, leaving out a large necklace that would compete with the lace. A little bow already supplies a finishing detail.
If the top is cropped, try jeans whose waistband meets its hem when you sit. For more coverage, wear a longer pale camisole underneath or choose a full-length top with a similar neckline. The colour contrast still carries the outfit.
A white tee separates the pink cardigan from a navy or charcoal skirt. Use a knee-length or longer skirt if that suits you better; the neat top layer and dark lower half do the styling work.
Leave the cardigan open for a relaxed version. If you button it, check that the front lies flat without gaps. Flats or trainers keep this an everyday outfit, and a plain shoulder bag gives you somewhere for essentials without adding another pattern.
This is an adaptation for readers who want the delicate camisole detail with more coverage. Choose a thin tee with sleeves that sit smoothly under the straps. Keep the camisole neckline lower than the tee so the two layers look deliberate.
A small print is easier to combine than several competing motifs. Use dark jeans and let the pink-and-white top half stay the focus. A plain cardigan can go over both layers if its sleeves have enough room.
Neither item is the heart hoodie or another verified costume piece. They match the colour and decorative details used in these everyday formulas.

Build the outfit
The pale pink colour, white lace neckline and small chest bow suit look 1. Pair it with plain blue jeans for daytime, or repeat it with a dark skirt and flat shoes. Keep other accessories simple so the neckline remains visible.
Check both bust and garment-length measurements, especially if you want the hem to meet your waistband.

Build the outfit
The floral pattern and narrow straps make this an option for look 3. Try it over a fine white tee for a layered outfit, or under an open cardigan with your preferred base layer.
Allow room for the tee underneath; compare the bust and waist measurements rather than assuming your usual size will layer comfortably.
The pink heart-print hoodie is a specific costume reference. Stano told NYLON that it came from Gap Kids’ Valentine’s Day collection. A plain pink top can suggest the palette, but it is not an exact substitute for that recognisable garment.
If you want a Halloween costume, decide which particular look you are recreating before buying anything. If you want clothes for ordinary plans, borrow one or two cues and use the jeans, skirt and shoes you already like. This guide focuses on that second goal.
